From the Editor-in-Chief, editors and Editorial Board

The Editor, principally, and with the support of the other editors, will consider the relevance of the work received for publication following the protocol indicated in the Editorial Standars. It is the responsibility of the Editor to be partial and to observe as a basic criterion the value of the work above other factors.

From the outset, the Senior Editor (Editor-in-Chief) may rule papers to be continued or rejected because they are not within the objectives of the journal or because they are not of the required quality and because the contribution is not significant and does not follow the procedures outlined above.

It is the responsibility of the Senior Editor to maintain strict professional secrecy about the names of authors and reviewers.

The Chief Editor will rely on the editors and the editorial group and other bodies of specialists from universities in the country and abroad for the evaluation and opinion of the papers.

Decisions to publish the proposals received are based exclusively on the reports and recommendations of the referees in the peer review process. However, the final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief, including requesting a further expert opinion.

The Lead Editor should keep the author informed of the progress of the evaluation process.

The Lead Editor may not accept papers from the other ENERGEIA editors if he/she deems it appropriate. The Editor-in-Chief will refrain from publishing in the journal. However, he/she may promote certain topics in order to encourage certain fields of research with the support of the Editorial Board.

The Editor will be the channel for rejecting any manuscript that involves plagiarism or malpractice. The Editor may seek the advice of other editors of other journals to increase the safety of such cases.
From the Authors

Manuscripts submitted to ENERGEIA must be original. They may be submitted in another language accepted by the journal but with a commitment to collaborate in a translation into Spanish.

Manuscripts must strictly follow the Editorial Standards for the submission of papers.

Manuscripts must not contain content that could be fraudulent. This includes fabricated or falsified data to obtain particular results.

If authors discover a significant error or mistake in the publication, this should be reported to the Chief Editor.

Authors must disclose the sources of research funding.

Authors must transfer copyright to ENERGEIA. Authors may distribute their work free of charge for academic or scientific purposes.
Referees and reviewers

By agreeing to referee for ENERGEIA you agree to review the work in an objective, professional and confidential manner.

The referee will disclose his/her assessment of the paper to the Editor-in-Chief. This information may follow a guideline provided by the Editor or it may be free. The report will be in writing and will be divided into two parts. One is a recommendation to help the editor make a decision and the other makes constructive comments and recommendations on the work in question and states that the work should be rejected for publication, that it may be revised and resubmitted, or that it should be conditionally accepted for corrections, or that it should be accepted.

The referee is obliged to report to the Chief Editor any evidence of unethical behaviour such as plagiarism, falsified information and duplicate publication.

The referee must treat the manuscript under review as confidential. He/she must not use any content of the manuscript for his/her own benefit, nor circulate the manuscript to third parties.
